Intended Use
For the selective enrichment of Yersinia enterocolitica.
Principle and Interpretation
Peptone (enzymatic of digest of casein) and sorbitol provides carbon and nitrogen sources, disodium hydrogen phosphate and sodium dihydrogen phosphate are buffers, bile salts inhibit Gram-positive bacteria, and sodium chloride provides the osmotic pressure required by cells.

Preparation
Suspend 30.93 g in 1 litre distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 121°C for 15 minutes..

Cultural characteristics observed after incubation at 26±1℃ for 48hhours
