Intended Use
For cultivation and isolation of yeasts and molds as well as the absence test for Candida albicans.
Principle and Interpretation
Dextrose as carbon source; Mixture of peptic digest of animal tissue and pancreatic digest of casein provide nitrogen; agar as medium coagulant
Formulation
Preparation
Suspend 65g in 1L of distilled water, stirring heated to boiling to completely dissolve ,autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.
Quality Control
Cultural characteristics observed after incubation at 30-35°C for 24-48 hours.
Storage and Shelf Life
2-30°C,Keep container tightly closed, avoid direct sunlight. Use before expiry date on the label.
Precautions
1. When weighing the dehydrated medium, please wear masks to avoid causing respiratory system discomfort 2. Keep container tightly closed after using to prevent clumping.
