Malt extract powder provides carbon, protein and nitrogen necessary for fungal growth; agar as medium coagulant.
Formulation
Preparation
Weigh 50g of dry powder of this product, add 1L of distilled water or deionized water, stir, heat and boil until completely dissolved, sterilise by autoclaving at 115°C for 10 minutes..
Quality Control
The following quality control strains were inoculated and cultured at appropriate atmosphere and temperature and examined for growth after 48 – 120 hours. The results are as follows:
